Guilty Pleasures:
Fashion has always been near and dear to my heart, not to mention my obsession with beautiful shoes. I love to watch era pieces involving England, reruns of Sex and the City (it does not help the shoe situation), and Beverly Hills 90210…(I was a ’90s teenager).
Past Time:
I spent 17 years molding the young minds of children, primarily in 5th grade. My favorite subjects to teach were math and science.
Travel:
I do love to travel and have seen and done some pretty amazing things in this world. My favorite places to travel are the U.K. and Southeast Asia. I love anything related to water, and my most memorable experience was in Thailand, where my husband and I did a kayak tour through the sea caves. I enjoy learning about other cultures and traditions.
Giving Back:
We have one mother Earth, and we must take care of it and all living things inhabiting it. My goal when creating works of art is to consider sustainability by using eco-friendly materials and sourcing flowers locally. Supporting recognized sanctuaries is also important to me. I have traveled to Southeast Asia and worked with locals trying to rehabilitate and release many animals back into the wild in a safe space or provide them shelter for the remainder of their lives. This is why 5% of my sales go towards helping animals in need when I go on my trips so that I can provide them with unreadily available supplies. I also support my local community as a member of The Junior League of The Woodlands.
